CENTRAL ILLINOIS UNITED EXPANDS TO U13/U14 BOYS

With the recent success of U13 & U14 Boys Pre-academy teams this past year, Central Illinois United will offer full-time teams at the U13 and U14 boys age groups, starting in the Fall of 2023.

Central Illinois United is an initiative fully supported by FC Central Illinois, Peoria FC United and the Springfield Area Soccer Association. Bringing CIU full time from U13 to U19 on the boy’s side will not only help our players reach their goals of playing and training at a higher level, but also give them opportunities to continue their soccer careers on a collegiate level.

“This initiative is another positive move in the right direction to develop and provide playing opportunities and experience for our players in Central ILLINOIS. We are happy with the progress that our Pre-Academy teams have made thus far and we look forward to much more success moving forward.” Jevan Muenzer, CIU Boys Director of Coaching.

Tryouts for the U13 & U14 boy’s teams will take place at the end of May. Any and all players are able to tryout for a CIU Academy team. More information will be coming out in the near future.
